Welcome to my website. My name is Liz Roberts. I am a watercolour artist, born and based in Inverness in the magnificent Scottish Highlands.

My art is inspired by the fascinating wildlife that inhabits this beautiful landscape. I’m particularly drawn to the many individual characters, some of them of course being comical and undeniably entertaining! …. while others just catch your breath, with their beauty and almost otherworldly presence.

Prior to painting, I worked for many years as a photographer. That experience taught me to closely observe light, composition, and detail, and have enjoyed applying these principles to watercolours.

Around 2020, life shifted for me leading to a break from my photography. In that unexpected pause, I returned to drawing and painting. What began as a creative outlet gradually grew into something more, and Liz Roberts Watercolours was born.

I have found much joy in the creation of my work and I am delighted to share it with you.....
